In 2008, in order to expand the Chapter's charity fund raising repertoire, the LOH members of the Chapter put on their first Silent Auction & Dance with all proceeds going to the Children's Wish Foundation. This event proved to be such a success - in terms of the money raised and the good time that was had by all in attendance - that our LOH members decided to do it again and again!

Never in our wildest dreams did we think we would be writing out such a large cheque to Children's Wish. Ok, we really wanted too but could we? Thanks to everyone who helped us. Wether you bought a raffle ticket, a dance ticket, made a donation, or got caught up in a bidding war, you played an important part in this events success. You can plan an event and everything looks great on paper, but if you don't have the support of friends, it's destined to fail. Fail is not in Freedom Chapters vocabulary and the collective efforts paid off to the handsome sum of over $9000! Children's Wish is the happy recipient of the funds and wishes will be granted. Freedom Chapter is an awesome group of people with big hearts and deeper pockets. Thanks for making us look good at our fundraiser, because we could not do it without you! LOH Officers |
